This salaried position requires a broad range of skills in the Food and Beverage Industry. The Assistant General Manager assists the General Manager in proper operations of all aspects of the restaurant, as well as growth and creative direction. AGM must be capable in all positions, including dish, prep, line cook, support, expo, server, and bartender. The right candidate has excellent food and beverage knowledge and skills, strong communication skills, and leadership abilities. 

AGM directly manages Front of House staff and operations alongside GM. AGM indirectly manages Back of House staff and operations alongside Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager. 

SCOPE of position

General

  • Building and equipment trouble-shooting and maintenance 
  • Project management of marketing efforts 
  • Daily operations and service 

FOH

  • Scheduling 
  • POS Management, including button and promotions building and tracking, employee files, reporting
  • Staff Training (Initial and Ongoing), Discipline, and Counseling 
  • Daily cash management 
  • Daily Reporting and Manager’s Log 
  • Floor and service management
  • Project management of Bar Program, including beer, wine, and spirits curation, as well as quality control  
  • Customer Service to include table and customer recovery, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Events and Catering customer interface and in-house management 
  • HR File Maintenance for all Tier 2 and Tier 3 Employees 

BOH

  • Quality Control 
  • Staff procedures and policies 
  • HR File Maintenance for all Tier 2 and Tier 3 Employees 
  • Staff Training (Initial and Ongoing), Discipline, and Counseling 

Minimum Requirements

  • Fully trained as Support Staff, Server, and Bartender 
  • Has demonstrated strong communication and work integrity
  • Active understanding of Fry’s Spring Station standards of service 
  • Accurate cash and reporting management 
  • Has demonstrated leadership experience and ability 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Weekend availability 
  • 2 yrs. Front of House restaurant experience, additional experience in BOH or MGMT roles preferred  -OR- Managers’ recommendation after 6 months’ work at Fry’s Spring Station.
