GENERAL MANAGER | SHADWELL'S RESTAURANT

Job Description

This salaried full-time position requires a broad range of skills.  One of the most important being the ability to provide “Above & Beyond” service to our guests.  The GM is required to be knowledgeable about and lead all FOH and BOH positions, including:  Serving, Hosting, Bartending, Bussing, Line Cook, Prep, and Expediting. The GM will manage the floor, scheduling, training, cash handling, invoices, customer and employee dispute resolution and closing shifts. The GM will employ leadership skills to help advance the brand and insure smooth operations.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work scheduled MOD shifts insuring that all daily duties are completed to spec
  • Follow all cash handling procedures
  • Complete daily closing paperwork effectively 
  • Take the lead on daily administrative duties
  • Learn and understand all systems for FOH and BOH
  • Communicate respectfully, diligently and directly with staff
  • Maintain and advance the brand by upholding standards of operation and administration 
  • Complete assigned projects with care and in a detailed-oriented manner
  • Develop and manage agenda for, and lead, weekly management team meetings 
  • Lead in scheduling and training of staff
  • Insure the proper completion of daily checklists and logs
  • Lead interview process and employee evaluations
  • Supervise all employees, including AGM and Kitchen Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Night and weekend availability
  • Positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills

Pay Range

  • GM pay begins at $45,000 or higher, based on experience.
